So, a little bit about me. I’m an accountant—I’ve spent eighteen of the last twenty-one years working in the publishing industry, specializing in finance for both magazine and book publishers.
A love of reading and writing, combined with an incessant need for things to be grammatically correct, drew me to editing, and for the last four years, I’ve been editing anything from contracts and press releases to short stories and full-length novels—first as a freelancer and then as staff editor for a small independent publisher.
Currently, I am CFO and a founding Diva for Write Divas, and I specialize in manuscript evaluation and development, content editing, copy editing, and proofreading. As CFO, I also oversee all aspects of financial reporting, including budgeting and forecasting, to provide a stable environment for the author and staff alike.
When I’m not crunching the numbers or wielding my red pen, I’m a mom to two beautiful and talented girls. I’ve been married for sixteen years, and my family and I live in the northern suburbs of New York City with one very loud, very fluffy cat and two beta fish. In between dance team practices and Girl Scout meetings, I am most often found with my nose in a good book.
